Shipping Charges

Shipping charges include:

1.  Actual shipping costs.  This charge is the actual shipping charge by FedEx, the only shipping service we use.  This charge includes insurance which is generally about $0.35 per $100.

2.  Actual box costs.  This is the actual cost for the NEW box and packing materials.  Some large items will require more than one box for shipping (top frames, large body panels, etc).

3.  Handling.  We are not a one man operation.  We employ one full time and one part time person whose sole purpose is to ship.  Other companies may not have anyone to ship your item throughout the year, we ship 5 days a week all year long (holidays of course, excluded).  The handling charge is anywhere from $0.80 to $12.00 per box depending upon the size and time required to package your items.  The average handling runs between $2-6.

Our goal is to break even on shipping.  We are not in business to make money on shipping and handling.  Some other VW parts vendors may be one or two man operations that do not charge for their time to package your items and who don't ship every day.  We do so much shipping every day and carry such a large inventory we have to employ shippers. Our goal is to ship your item the day you order it or the day after, at the latest, if your part is in stock.
